Building muscle and losing fat doesn't happen overnight, and when you commit yourself fully to your goals and show up consistently results happen. Jeff lost 70 lbs and is now 8% body fat, this is a conversation Jeff and I had recently after he reached one of his goals, which was to be under 10% bodyfat and weigh 185lbs.

Pavan is a physician and talks about how he shed 30lbs recently at 45 years old. This is Pavan's second time losing at least 30lbs and is now committed to getting in the best shape of his life. Interestingly, Pavan said he didn't learn much about nutrition in all his schooling while becoming a doctor. Body positivity is an interesting topic. A topic in which I feel compelled to speak. The body positivity movement may be another permission slip to become obese while it's justified as self-acceptance. Or even better, "self-love". I'm all about loving yourself. And loving yourself requires treating yourself with respect and kindness. It's not about the body image, it's about the body substance. Let's chat about health and the stigmas around being too fat or too skinny, or even too fit.

When you quit trying. That’s when you fail. Until then, you are just practicing and experiencing opportunities to get better. We put so much pressure on ourselves, to accomplish our goals, and when we don’t accomplish them when we feel we should we get discouraged, frustrated and often consider ourselves a failure. That can’t be further from the truth, the only time we truly fail is when we quit trying.
