My mission is to unlock my ultimate life potential, and inspire you to do the same. Because life is either taken for granted or appreciated and fulfilled, your choice. I have been addicted to exercise since the age of 9 and built my body and mind by overcoming obstacles and divorcing insecurities. My vision is to produce some entertaining, educating and life changing media. Bodybuilding and Business make up a majority of my life. Merging the two together with another passion of mine, storytelling. I like to talk, so a podcast seemed to be a great idea. Way before Mtv True Life I want the perfect body I was documenting and creating media as a hobby just for fun, let's see what we can come up with here. What you could expect to hear on this show; Successful Entrepreneurs, Bodybuilding and fitness professionals, strength coaches, film makers, film directors, actors and any other movers and shakers I feel like shooting the shit with. I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, In fact I dislike engaging in any “politics”.

I just like to support down to earth people who genuinely care about the town in which I live in and the community in which we build bodhi.

When I mentioned to  Mayor Brian Gallagher that I wanted to organize and promote a 5k obstacle course run through Somerville, with proceeds going to the all-volunteer rescue squad he was super excited. Mr. Gallagher then set up a meeting for us to discuss the details and invited Jason Kraska as he was a councilman and represented the Somerville Recreation Department.

Jason was born and raised in Somerville NJ and is extremely passionate about not only growing the community but supporting the longtime senior residents. In fact, one of his recent projects is organizing a Senior Prom Dance! Now that is adorable!

Selflessly offering time, knowledge, and guidance Jason helped make the first Somerville Challenge 5k a huge success! In fact, Jason was with us at 4:30a on race day setting up obstacles and picking up supplies all before he ran the race as a participant later on that morning.

I just liked the dude’s energy, he's one of the good guys.

As I said earlier, I’m not into politics, so I wanted to pick Jason’s brain a bit to see what exactly a councilman does and how I could help him broadcast his message.

Last week, Jason Kraska and Jennifer Pearson sat down with Karen and me last week to discuss their beliefs and love for the Somerville NJ community.

Somerville Challenge 5k Run details 

bodhi by Anthony Monetti presents the Somerville Challenge 5k Run: an obstacle course run for a cause! Proceeds go to the Somerville Rescue Squad– an all-volunteer organization serving the community since 1928.

WHAT IS IT?

The Somerville Challenge 5k Run takes you through the scenic Peters Brook Greenway, where you’ll encounter challenges and obstacles designed by the personal trainers from bodhi in downtown Somerville. Whether you’re a part of a team or solo, if this is your first 5k or you’re an obstacle race veteran, these unique challenges will guarantee you cross the finish line dirty, sweaty, and smiling.

In addition to discovering Metallica, Michael Anthony Alago has accumulated a roster that includes such diverse artists as Michael Feinstein, Johnny Rotten, White Zombie and Nina Simone to name a few.

A seminal producer and talent scout for nearly 20 years, Michael Alago has become a household name in the music industry for his expertise in a variety of musical genres. In 2010, Alago teamed up with Cyndi Lauper on her Grammy-nominated album “Memphis Blues,” for which he acted as A&R executive.

Michael’s latest project is a feature documentary called “Who the F**k is that guy” which is “The Fabulous Journey of Michael Alago”

Nick Graziosi, owner of Phierce Natural Sports Supplements joins me on today’s Project My Life Podcast.

I met Nick at the 2017 WNBF Hercules Bodybuilding championships back in June, and after hearing the story behind his start up company I wanted to get him win the show so I could learn more.

Chris holds a bachelors degree in Athletic Training with a masters degree in Exercise and Nutrition from the University of Tampa. With over 200,100 followers on Instagram Chris has become a social media monster and recently left his full-time sales gig to pursue the world of entrepreneurship. Chris teamed up with Christopher Barakat earlier this year to develop his latest bodybuilding training program titled “Max Hype Training”.

With more freedom than ever, Chris has found a nice balance of work, family, and training while still available for taking on more clients.

I first met John back in 2005 when we both worked for L.A. Fitness and as the Universe connects like-minded individuals, we met up again at bodhi in Downtown Somerville NJ.

John recently opened up his own practice with his soon to be fiance.

BJ Gaddour is not only passion for fitness and helping others, he is also a natural born entrepreneur. In this podcast, BJ explains how he dealt with a failing business and how he transformed from a fat kid to a Men’s health cover model. His latest project  thedailybj.com (brilliant marketing) is all about shredding fat and muscle gains.

I met BJ virtually through social media but had known about him for years. To be honest, I experienced a boost in confidence and got fired up when BJ begin following me on Instagram. At the time BJ was the Digital Fitness Director for Men’s Health magazine and I was a bit surprised he remembered me from my MTV days and wanted to connect on a professional level.

The Right2Breathe Campaign is dedicated to providing free COPD Screenings at automotive events and creating tobacco prevention programs for kids.

Joe Morrison from Right 2 Breathe joins us today and shares his story behind creating the non profit organization dedicated to COPD Awareness.

With the recent opening of the bodhi breathe studio  (yoga, pilates, meditation) it just makes sense for us to join forces with Joe and his crew.

What is COPD?

COPD is a major cause of disability, and it’s the third leading cause of death in the United States. Currently, millions of people are diagnosed with COPD. Many more people may have the disease and not even know it.

COPD develops slowly. Symptoms often worsen over time and can limit your ability to do routine activities. Severe COPD may prevent you from doing even basic activities like walking, cooking, or taking care of yourself.

Most of the time, COPD is diagnosed in middle-aged or older adults. The disease isn’t passed from person to person—you can’t catch it from someone else.

COPD has no cure yet, and doctors don’t know how to reverse the damage to the airways and lungs. However, treatments and lifestyle changes can help you feel better, stay more active, and slow the progress of the disease.**
