This Is Your Journey. Your life.
Relying on others to always support your goals, and dreams is unrealistic. Live out your life. Rely on your instincts and focus on what you want, whether it's a healthier lifestyle or a new career, don't expect others to change their ways just because you have.
Body positivity is an interesting topic. A topic in which I feel compelled to speak. The body positivity movement may be another permission slip to become obese while it's justified as self-acceptance. Or even better, "self-love". I'm all about loving yourself. And loving yourself requires treating yourself with respect and kindness. It's not about the body image, it's about the body substance. Let's chat about health and the stigmas around being too fat or too skinny, or even too fit.
In this episode, I talk about my experience on MTV True Life and how chasing perfection is ultimately a constant upstream battle that may strip you of your happiness.
Karen Monetti also shared how chasing perfection nearly killed her.
Perfection is either exactly what is, or everything it is not. Who decides what perfect is? and why do we chase it?
Today's message is all about taking ownership of who you are. Build upon your strengths, recognize what isn't a strength, and using it to make you stronger.
Be yourself.
When you let go of what others think of you, you can start thinking for yourself.
